Research Interests

I am currently Visiting Assistant Professor at Coe College (2017–2018). My research focuses on the historical development of Tibetan medicine.  I am particularly interested in general medical conceptions of the body and the development of diagnostic methods.  I hope to work closely with living medical practitioners to understand current practice which will hopefully enrich my understanding of its historical development.  Finally I would like to look into overlapping developments between the Chinese and Tibetan medical traditions.
