About Dr. Sherpa: Dr. Sherpa’s research focuses on Indigeneity, human dimensions of climate change, and the Sherpa diaspora. She is Assistant Professor of Lifeways in Indigenous Asia at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Dr. Sherpa’s talk is one of two organized by UVA Religious Studies doctoral candidate Devin Zuckerman on the theme of Environmental Repair & Relatedness in Himalayan Buddhism as part of her course Buddhism and Environmental Thought and Practice (RELB2067).
